    The Skillful Bible Student
    September 6, 2009
"How can I read the Bible?  I have trouble understanding what is
written. "  There are many who are intimidated with reading the
Bible.  This study focuses on the basics of reading God's Word and
helping one read with understanding what God says.  4 Lessons

         What is a Synod?
    November 8, 2009
In this class, we will be looking at the distinction between what
    has been called the "Invisible Church" and visible churches;
between "The Holy Christian Church" and various church
denominations today.  Questions to be answered - "What does
'Synod' mean?"; "What is the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran
Synod?"; "What is the purpose of a 'Synod'?"; "Why have a 'Synod'?"
    and much more. 4 Sessions

    Christ's Love, Our Calling
    January 10, 2010
"We love, because he first loved us."  Our calling as Christians
involves faithfully caring for the tremendous gifts of God in
relationships (with God, myself, family, neighbors, Body of
Christ), using the tools and resources God has giving to "steward"
those relationships daily.  In this study, we seek to understand
those outstanding blessings we have in Christ and celebrating what
God has given us as we look at our use of TIME in building up the
    relationships above.  4 Sessions

1 Peter - How to live Hope-Filled in a Hostile Society
    March 7, 2010
St. Peter understood persecution.  He experienced all kinds.  He
had seen enough to know what it take to stay strong in tough
times.  In this study, we will look at these letters and learn what
God has to say to us through the pen of St. Peter.  10 Sessions

    1 Corinthians
    Summer 2010
Arguments between church members, questions about the Lord's
Supper, cliques and factions, working together - St. Paul addressed
all these situations in his letter to the Corinthians.  Lessons we can
apply to our congregation and lives.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study - Verse & Book

See Calendar or Sunday Bulletin for Date and Time

Do you find yourself running around from one appointment to the
next?  Do you want to make the study of the Bible a part of your
daily life?  Then Verse & Book is for you!

1 - Verse is the time we join together in worship which centers
around the Verse of the Day from the previous Sunday.

2 - Book is an interactive study of the Bible which teaches God's
truth and applies it to life.  It is base on the Congregation at
Prayer (Abiding Savior's weekly devotional) found in the Sunday
bulletin and on Abiding Savior's website.

This is an excellent class for those who are just beginning their
study of the Bible as well as those who are life-long learners.
“Study diligently the
Scriptures  ...because
by them you possess
eternal life.  These are
