Abiding Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church serves the communities of
Weslaco and the Rio Grande Valley, using the Gospel in Word and
Sacrament by which believers are strengthened in their faith and
through which the Holy Spirit creates faith in those who are lost.
We plan on carrying out this mission by:

- Leading sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for life and
salvation by proclaiming the Law and Gospel. (2 Timothy 4:2; Luke
24:46-48)
- Strengthening believers in faith using the Means of Grace (Romans
10:17) and encouraging them in their faith. (1 Peter 2:2-3)
- Equipping believers as disciples, stewards and witnesses through
instruction in God’s Word, so that they may share the Gospel of
Jesus Christ with others. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
